Some of my .pdf documents in trouble. But one of it I couldn’t open during all the day. It views me - File does not begin with %PDF. It’s very strange, because it was created in Adobe Acrobat, it’s truly Adobe app. I tried to repair pdf file via Stellar, DataNumen apps, but it was useless.

Hey everyone
I’m building a form that automatically imports data from a .txt file that’s exported from Excel. So far everything I am doing is working beautifully.
What I’m having an issue with is that in the excel file I have fields that have percentage options (30%, 50%, 80%, 100%).
I need to have certain spots on my form convert the imported value (30%, 50%, 80%, or 100%), to an image. I’ve tried working with JavaScript to get it to work, but my knowledge on JS is not what it used to be.
Any ideas or suggestions are more than welcome!
I am creating a header for my PDF document.
I have a solid black rectangle across top with company logo and text box on top of this shape. Both (logo & text) elements have transparent background. Looks perfect on computer.
But when printed the logo and text box show a darker black frame around these items than the solid black shape.
How can i fix this so i just have a solid universal black color without seeing the frame of items on top??
appreciate any help or input

Hey guys! I have created a fillable PDF form using Acrobat that works perfectly on my Windows desktop, but now that I’m testing on mobile, the submit button doesn’t work at all. I’ve only tested on an iPhone so far and the app I’m using is Adobe Acrobat Reader from Apple. Clear button works, fields work, it’s just when I click submit, nothing happens. What’s SUPPOSED to happen is:
I have to have a JavaScript action on my submit button to do all this. (More deets in this post when I was trying to figure it out on desktop https://www.reddit.com/r/Adobe/comments/8qzcfl/trying_to_create_a_pdf_form_in_acrobat_where_upon/)
When I changed the action on my submit button to “Submit a Form”, the button DID work on mobile, but then I lost the very necessary feature of the subject line being auto-filled from the field data. I need that subject line auto-filled, so this isn’t an option for me.
Anyone have a solution for me? I would prefer it to just work on the Acrobat Reader app, but if it requires purchasing another app, then fine. Things I’ve read online so far just kinda say “yeah JavaScript is just kinda limited on mobile devices”. Is this REALLY not possible??

I created huge .pdf document in Adobe Acrobat a week ago. During all the week I’ve been changing it almost every day. In two or three days my head waits it. But appeared unexpected problem with my file, it stopped correctly opening. I see message - The file is damaged and could not be repaired. I don’t know, I’ve no idea How to repair pdf file. Cause I have small experience in such affairs.

I am trying to construct a pdf that has text and an image. The image is currently in .svg and I’d like to keep it that way as vector graphics take up less space. The text portion is in excel and I can export it to pdf and it’s extremely small but I can’t insert vector graphics into excel pre-export. I also have both portions in autocad (which is a vector graphics program) but I’m having problems with some fonts…
What platform should I really be working from to make this come together? I can possibly acquire another program if necesary.

I’ve made a pdf form in Acrobat which is designed to record the QC of another scanned-in pdf. It’s designed to: 1. Capture text input of the submitter, i.e. internal business ref, details of the scanned pdf, collects submitter digital ID. 2. Permits attachment of the pdf to be QCd, to the form 3. Form and contents are emailed to another person, the QCer 3. Captures the QC process, i.e. yes the number of pages is correct, the visual quality is adequate etc. 4. Clicks a button to start a conversion process as below
All of which we are able to do successfully. The sticking point has been the final step, which needs to convert the form plus the attachment to pdf/a for longterm archiving.
My IT colleague has built a custom tool button in Acrobat which aims to do the following:
a) Flattens the form and attachment b) Converts to PDF/A c) Captures digital ID of the QCer
But unfortunately this crashes Acrobat.
Does anyone have any insight into perhaps doing this in a different way, to avoid the app crash?
