Trying to extract icons treated as text from pdf

I’m trying to figure out how to extract the icons from pdfs like this. For example, the icon I’m looking for is the eye symbol right after “You dig through the dense paperwork cluttering the desk, looking for anything of interest”

Can someone help?

Disable Saving via /r/pdf

Disable Saving

I’m using Power PDF 2.1 to create form fillable PDF’s for work. The problem we’re having is that inspectors are filling out the forms, then saving a copy of the PDF as something else locally, and reusing it while changing a few relevant fields. This has lead to a few issues where incorrect information is on those forms. Is it possible to disable saving of a PDF within Power PDF to prevent the inspectors from saving a filled out form?

Currently the code is like this but it’s only doing the “str.” ones:

Not sure why. And yeah, that one in particular does have a “.” in its name.

Edit: I got it fixed. Solved. Here it is in case anyone else ever wants to do the same.

PDF not printing filed in fields? via /r/pdf

PDF not printing filed in fields?

Hi! I have a PDF that has text fields, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why it won’t print the filled in fields??

So, I got the blank template, filled in the fields i needed, and then saved a new one with the filled in fields. I go to print it, and it will not show the text, or print the text either. It prints everything else, other than the filled in fields.

I have tried saving as a new PDF, Printing to PDF also. Is there something I am missing? I have never had a PDF do this to me before.

Freeware for creating fillable PDFs?

Wanting to create some things to send folks; is there any good freeware out there? I only need to create something here and there and so it doesn’t really warrant paying for Adobe. Ideas?
